Hinckley Boat Club
Founded over 50 years ago, 1 founding member still in attendance and alive and kicking!!
Moorings for 17-20 boats depending on length, secure visitor moorings for AWCC members.
Facilities – Water, Electricity, shops nearby. Excellent curry house at start of the drive.

Pete took over chair about 5 years ago and has transformed the facilities, concreting, dredging and security improvements. Club house completed in 2025.
Moorings are off line and therefore no need for CRT licences unless cruising.
Bi-annual crane hire (March) for 4 weeks @ circa £110 out /in. Open to AWCC friends.
Ashby Canal
An historically and notoriously shallow canal of 22 lock free miles joining the Coventry canal and an SSSI north of Market Bosworth. Shenton (below) has a station for the Steam railway up to Shackerstone. September sees the working boat gathering. In 2025 the Ashby canal was subject to a three year deredging operation which is tackling the worst parts of the canal with impressive results.
