The Craven Cruising Club was formed over 70 years ago and was originally the Bingley Motor Boat Club.
We provide non-residential boaters with an opportunity to enjoy pleasant garden canal moorings in Skipton and Bingley. Canal & River Trust facilities are adjacent to both sites and there are many local shops and other services in the nearby towns.
Each year there is a range of social events which members are encouraged to attend including lunches, ten pin bowling, cruises, suppers (with home grown entertainment) and a coach trip with overnight stay. The highlight of the year is undoubtedly the Skipton Waterway Festival that takes place on the May Bank Holiday and the club supports by raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The club's boats are moored at one of three sites: Bingley, Skipton Park or Skipton Town. However, with the agreement of the mooring master, boats can temporarily swap moorings or even breast up with boats on other moorings.
